Senator Ondol is a bitter old man who covers his bitterness with a hedonistic lifestyle. His main vices are drinking, gambling and chasing young women. He always appears happy, delighted with his successes, and taking his losses easily in stride.
However, beneath it all, remains a man with honor and integrity. He never gambles more than he can afford to lose, and is always generous with his winnings. His bastard children, while not acknowledged, have always been provided for.

Clan Morlorn
Clan Morlorn is a clan fallen on hard times. One of the founding clans of the Coranan Republic, clan Morlorn held significant lands in what was Themeson province. When they were seized, Ondol argued for war vigorously in the senate. But with the loss of lands, he did not have the funds to get a vote for war in his favor.

Since that time, Ondol has waged a quiet campaign for the return of his lands. He supports Jithias Mariam as Marshal of Gerium, and has good ties to the Church of Larani. He is effectively a member of the Expansionist faction in the senate, though he has little interest in Ramala.

The ongoing negotiations for the return of Themeson to the Thardic Republic are of immense interest to Ondol. He is using what influence and leverage he still retains to get the return of some lands from the Cohorts of Gashang. In this matter, he wages a quiet battle with Merele of Kantar. His long standing good relations with the Red Guard have kept him safe thus far.

The Morlorn clan has always been a patron to the Kosawhyn clan, though this may change. A young member of the Kosawhyn clan, Viram, serves as Ondol’s personal assistant.

Ondol’s wife Methyl runs most of the clan’s affairs from the clan’s manor at Rusna. Ondol spends as little time as possible at home, nominally to tend to important senatorial affairs, but mostly because he and his wife despise each other.
