Sindarin Teleportation

The Kelestia article states that among the Sindarin, and rarely in certain other species, there are those "in whom the blood runs true" who can step between worlds by using a special natural psionic talent. I have had certain enquiries concerning this, and therefore present an alpha-test of the psionic talent involved.

TRANSFERENCE [25]

This is the ability to step between worlds. Below ML71, the talent can only be used to step between correspondence (Barasi) points. At ML71+ the talent may be used to visit any visualized destination at an EML penalty of 20. If the talent user has never before visited the destination, an additional EML penalty of 10 is applied.

With CF the talent causes its user to step into a world other than their destination. With MF nothing happens. MS transfers the talent user to his intended destination, but while the transfer seems instantaneous it actually takes 1d8 days. With CS the transfer really is instantaneous.

Organic (aural) items are transferred along with the talent user. Other items are brought by testing 4 x Aura. Items which do not accompany the talent user are "dropped" at the point where transference begins.

At ML96+, the talent user can bring with themselves a single companion with whom they are maintaining skin contact, and who must accompany the talent user.

GM Notes

This talent may be added to the psionic talent list as just another talent, or it can be reserved for elves and "certain other species". If introduced, Sindarin who qualify for psionic talents might be given a 50% chance of having Transference.

Any suggestions or comments would be welcome.
